Hey Andy - finished reading the Worldwar series by Turtledove a week or so ago. Did you read the Colonization series that takes place 20 years after Worldwar? I'm reading the first book in that series now. It has most of the same characters, and it's kinda interesting to see how 20 years of alien influence affects society.

Funny that you're droping by today. Last Night I went to see Disturbed for the second tome. Pretty good show!
60's actually.
Picked up the last book in that timeline last night - Homeward Bound (or something like that). The first 4 were in the 40's, next 3 in the 60's, and the last one in the near future.
Also saw that there's a new Rollins paperback out and a few more Preston/Child ones that I have to read. Lately I'd rather read than watch TV.
Anybody want to work for me this weekend? It's only a small class - actually I might just let the other guy do most of the teaching, and I'll do the paperwork. That should leave plenty of time to sleep in my office. [img]biggrin.gif[/img]

I'm still here, just somethings with real life keeping me from coming here at the moment (sound familiar Snape? - good to see you again BTW!)
My wife had a small operation a couple of weeks ago and her recovery hasn't been as quick or as easy as hoped, so I've been focusing on taking care of her. Sorry guys and gals, but when it comes to the choice of talking action figures and such with you all and taking care of my wife - you all are the losers [img]wink.gif[/img] [img]tongue.gif[/img]
That and mid last week we had a real bad thunderstorm cell pop into creation almost right above us and in the lightning I had 5 of my 7 computers at home fried, so I am in the works of trying to get a couple of them back up and running to get life back to normal, and probably going to have to trash the rest if I can't find a door to use them as a stop for, and I don't own a boat so a boat anchor is out of the question for them.
Hope to get things back up and running this weekend and able to spend some time with you guys again. Miss the interaction here, hate having to give it up but life called for a check in and I had to answer the phone [img]wink.gif[/img]
I hate it when the real imposes on the unreal.
